weltering in this curbside receptacle
brashed by the Toyota Land Cruiser
keeling sharply to skirt
the darting dog
now rolling down
the oil-rain-slicked hill
bouncing in the blackness
along with my comrades
the dregs, scum, and
offscourings of sweet suburbia
we mix it up
bone to bone
can to can
braving bumps bangs
tossed now smashed
into oblivion
